Arctic Photos
I have visited the Arctic zone three times. From west to east, I have canoed the Coppermine River (NT/NU), the Kazan River (NT/NU), and visited a friend teaching in Clyde River (NU).
The region is vast and diverse, from the endless tundra of the barrens to the majestic fiords of eastern Baffin Island. However common threads are extreme isolation and unlimited views. It is spectacular, but unfortunately independent travel is very challenging and guided travel is very expensive. That said, if you get a chance to visit you will certainly have an unforgettable experience.
